I have been getting facials for years. After my first experience with Alana, I will never go anywhere else again! This is the first time I was able to fully relax (and almost fall asleep!!) during a facial. The entire process from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave is one of the most relaxing experiences. The products that are used are simply amazing and my skin has never felt better!
The owner was very nice, and super sweet... but I contacted her several weeks ahead of time to see about getting Mani and pedis for me and 2 other girls before my wedding. I wanted some place we could enjoy mimosas and relax for the morning together. When we got there, it was just her... and three of us. She gets extra stars for having latte's and different syrups for coffee etc, but even though she specifically asked me what we wanted to drink, and I mentioned numerous times about mimosas, she only had champagne, no OJ. Anyway, I knew we were in trouble when it was just her. The appt was for 10am, and she took me back to her pedicure room, I couldn't even sit with my other girls! There was one other chair and a bridesmaid came back to check on me... mostly because I was there forever. I got a french pedi, it was fine, but nothing special, and no where near what the big salons do with pumice and massages. Well, now it's about 11, and we go upfront to do a mani. She talked me into the gel because it would last 2-3 weeks. Great! She pushed my cuticles back, but never clipped them, which I commented on and she said she didnt need to since they were pushed back. Now, I dont pamper myself, but I know my cuticles need to be clipped, mine especially because I dont usually bother with them! Either way, she didnt clip them. Well, 6 days later I am on my honeymoon, and my gel is coming up and I am screwed and start peeling essentially (after she told me to be careful not to peel my nail off!! Still not sure if that's a thing but wth!). Either way, the entire thing took us to 1145, for JUST MY mani and pedi... I told her we didn't have time for all this and took my other girls to another salon. My mani and pedi were $65 too, which blew my mind for what little was done, and three glasses of champagne, but whatever. My girls went elsewhere, got full massages and massage chairs, and spent $35 each, and were in and out in a half hour. I am sure this place is great if you have all day, but the day before your wedding... you DO NOT have all day!
Alana is amazing! I'm always happy when I leave and I never have "bad haircut regrets!" I recommend her highly, whether you need a trim or want crazy cool fashion hair colors like me.
